Registration is now open for the annual Green Deer Spring Cleanup campaign.
The Green Deer initiative runs until May 31. Residents of all ages, abilities, and economic and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to volunteer to pick up litter to tidy up the city.
Helping to clean up the city is a great way to have a positive environmental impact, build social connections, give back to the community, and enjoy both the physical and mental benefits of spending time outside.
Residents can pick a date, time and location of their choice.
Free litter cleanup supplies are available from Kerry Wood Nature Centre, Collicutt Centre, G.H. Dawe Centre, and the Red Deer Recreation Centre.
