Grisly discovery for firefighters in charred debris of northern Alberta house

Human remains have been found in a home north of Edmonton that was destroyed by fire.

BOYLE — Human remains have been found in a home north of Edmonton that was destroyed by fire.

RCMP say firefighters were called Wednesday morning to the rural residence northwest of Boyle.

It took crews a number of hours to completely extinguish the blaze.

The remains were discovered when firefighters searched the debris.

Forensics investigators have been called to the scene.

They will work with the medical examiner in Edmonton to identify the remains.
