A Caroline man has been sentenced to two years in jail for knocking out another man during a Halloween party fight.

Jesse Radau, 21, was convicted of aggravated assault and sentenced in Rocky Mountain House provincial court last week.

Radau was arrested after a 24-year-old man from the Dovercourt area was seriously injured in a scrap at the Dovercourt Hall east of Rocky Mountain House shortly after midnight on Oct. 30, 2011.

He was transported to Calgary by STARS and underwent emergency surgery to relieve swelling on the brain.

Radau was also given two years probation and is prohibited from owning firearms for 10 years.
