Primary Care Network staff members Alvina Burns, centre, and Lana King-Kottman, right, are kept busy serving pizza and fruit at the PCN Hawaii Trek launch recently. As part of the Health Basics program, groups or individuals are asked to sign up for the virtual trek around the Hawaiian Islands while keeping track of their day-to-day steps and workouts until May 6. The idea is to educate and motivate the people of Red Deer to incorporate personal lifestyle changes, like getting in 10,000 steps each day.
