Environment and Climate Change Canada is warning of heavy snow in the Rocky Mountain House and Caroline areas and West Country.

Snow over southwestern Alberta was expected to taper off on during the day on Tuesday but then heavy snow was expected to return Tuesday evening along the foothills then spread to the east and continue through Wednesday.

From 10 to 25 centimetres of snow could fall by Thursday morning, with the highest accumulations west of Highway 2.

Snow will be heavy and wet, and will be mixed with rain in some areas, so total snowfall accumulations will vary widely.
