An office worker in the Collins Barrow building at the corner of Gaetz Ave. and 43 St. in Red Deer looks out from a window as members of the City of Red Deer Emergency Services Dept. conduct a high-angle rescue practice Wednesday afternoon.

Fire medics Steve Kozelenko, in red acted as the victim while Dave Bain, centre, conducted the ‘pick-off’ rescue with instructor Matt White, right, giving guidance. The procedure was done in a way that would mimic a rescue of a window washer.
