Jerry Sutherland, left, admires Cliff Proctor’s Model T done up to resemble a hillbilly’s car. The street-worthy 1920 Ford sports an old guitar, vase of flowers, shovel and other tools and even a nesting bird in a headlight. The men were among many who this week took in the Cruise Night, an event that also features live music and food from the Red Deer Food Bank and other vendors. It runs every Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Real Canadian Superstore north parking lot. Organizer Dave Burden welcomes all manner of vehicles to the free summer events. “If you’re proud of your wheels, car, bike or truck, we don’t mind having you come down.”
