Red Deer historians Shirley Hocken and Michael Dawe will brave a blustery winter morning on Thursday to share coffee, cake and a few tantalizing tidbits about the evolution of North Red Deer.
The celebration will be in the parking lot at Parkland Mall from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Thursday marks the 100th anniversary of the day people who lived in North Red Deer were officially notified that the Province of Alberta would incorporate their hamlet into a village.
The event will be hosted by Zed 99.
