Street Sweeping

Downtown Red Deer street sweeping begins Sunday. No parking signs will be set out on streets a minimum of 12 hours before work begins. Motorists need to watch out for these signs in areas they intend to park in. Vehicles left parked on signed streets will be ticketed and towed. The Downtown Business Association reminds downtown shop owners they can sweep dirt from their sidewalks onto the street.

Performance Celebrates Leadership Program

The entire student body at Mountview School is involved in a musical production that they will perform May 2 at CrossRoads Church. All 500 children will either perform as cast or choir members in the musical written by Mountview staff. The story involves two Mountview students, Ryan and Sarah, who face a tough decision: should they participate in the Mountview Leadership Day or the district soccer championship, both of which take place on the same evening. The matinee begins at 1:15 p.m. and the evening performance is at 6:30 p.m. The production will celebrate the school’s Leader in Me program that is based on the bestselling book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
