Just in time for spring, bird watchers and animal rescuers will have a chance to meet and mingle at Red Deer Public Library’s Snell Auditorium (4818 49 St.) on April 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. This free event is part of speaker series celebrating people over the age of 55, who have found new interests, passions, and callings. Library plans Easter egg event

Families looking for a fun time this Easter should head down to the Red Deer Public Library (at 4818 49th St.) for the Easter Eggstravaganza, on Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. Children ages three and up will have a chance to participate in Easter family storytime, make crafts, view puppet shows, and sing songs. Also, make sure to bring a hard-boiled egg or two to decorate, as this traditional celebration is sure to include more than a little painting.
