Disaster preparation
How do you prepare for a disaster? This is what the Canadian Red Cross will teach senior citizens at a Seniors Emergency Preparedness Program on April 19. The 45-minute presentation will inform participants on how to prepare for disasters such as a house fire, pandemic outbreak, flash flooding and other severe weather. The discussion will also focus on how to be self-sufficient for at least 72-hours after the disaster strikes. Seniors, family members and caregivers are welcomed to attend the presentation being held at the Red Cross office board room from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Those interested in attending are asked to pre-register by calling 403-342-1241 before Monday.
