It’s time to start tuning up those vocal chords, especially if you love to sing. The Red Deer Chamber Singers, an adult mixed chorus, is beginning to prepare for their annual Renaissance Feast in December. The fun begins Tuesdays, starting Aug. 30, from 7 to 9 or 9:30 p.m. at Sunnybrook United Church. The Red Deer Chamber Singers are a not-for-profit choral group that has been in operation and providing quality music to music lovers in Central Alberta for over 30 years. Dahlia and Gladiolus Show

The second annual Dahlia and Gladiolus Show will be open to the public Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bower Place Shopping Centre. Entry staging will be held Aug. 26 from 6 p.m. to midnight and Aug. 27 from 7 to 11 a.m. Judging begins on the Saturday at 11 a.m. For further information or tips on how to prepare your plants for the show, contact Wayne Roberts at 403-347-7482.
