Crafting class for charity
A Blackfalds-area design studio is planning a crafting class for charity on Saturday, Jan. 29. Mask-making on canvas will be taught from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Black Sheep Design Studio. The cost is $65 for a short canvas or $70 for a longer one; $30 from each student’s fees will be sent to the Khulakahle Day Care Centre in South Africa. The studio’s owners recently donated $1,600 to build a fence at the centre and are now raising additional funds to support the kids there (the owner does not turn children away, even though all parents do not pay her). For more information, call Brenda Topley at 403-885-0476.

The program runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a fee of $40, including a workbook and DVD. Visit www.littlewarriors.ca or call toll free to 1-888-440-1343 to learn more.
