A Tibetan monk’s search for the reincarnation of his beloved teacher is the subject of a movie at the Innisfail Century Theatre on Sunday, April 11. The film Unmistaken Child will be shown at 7:30 p.m. The film is put on by the Innisfail Library Film Circuit. The cost is $8 for non-members, $7 for members and $4 for students. Everyone is welcome.


Easter event

Families are invited to a fun-filled afternoon on Easter Sunday at Red Deer’s Kerry Wood Nature Centre. The annual Easter Spring Fling will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Crafts, activities and nature-themed egg hunts will keep the children busy. Admission by suggested donation of $3 per person and $10 a family. Cartoon creation

Individuals or families with a creative flair can participate in Cartoon Inventions at the Red Deer and District Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday. Participants will create art that follows the style of Rube Goldberg cartoons. Goldberg is known for his cartoons that feature complex machinery to perform simple tasks. The events is part of MAGnificient Saturdays at the museum which features hands on art. The art activity is from 2 to 4 p.m. in the newly renovated Discovery Room. Participation is free.
