Used toy sale
All proceeds raised at gently used toy sale on June 5 will benefit the Grandmothers to Grandmothers, a campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. The campaign was launched in 2006 to raise awareness and support in Canada for Africa’s grandmothers. Funds raised help provide grandmothers in 15 sub-Saharan African countries with necessities such as food, housing grants, school fees for their grandchildren and grief counselling. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 126 Logan Close in Red Deer. For more information about the toy sale, call Shirley at 403-347-5958.
