GrammaLink-Africa’s Scrabble event and the Chili Luncheon were successes with the Red Deer community last month. The group raised $7,086 at the Scrabble event. The Pottery Club donated 125 bowls and helped raise $2,500 during the chili luncheon. GrammaLink will use the money to help African grandmothers raise orphans through the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, a project of the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
