Bells of Concordia brings 15 pairs of hands to play 270 different instruments — the largest set of handbells and handchimes in Canada. Guest conductor Debbie Rice, internationally recognized for her work in handbells, will lead the group through a repertoire that includes familiar hymns, spirituals, original compositions and a sampling of holiday music from Africa, Canada, England, Germany and Wales. The concert is set for 7 p.m. at Gaetz United, 4758 Ross St. Admission is $10 per person with tickets available at the door. Call 403-347-2244 for more information.

A dinner with Wildrose Alliance Leader Danielle Smith set for today in Red Deer has been cancelled. The dinner was planned for the Red Deer Lodge tonight, but the meal will not be taking place because it conflicts with Smith’s schedule. Smith is expected to return to Red Deer in mid-November for a town hall meeting, when she will be speaking about property rights. Another dinner is expected to take place with the Wildrose leader in the spring.

A Homefront on page C1 in Thursday’s Advocate had an incorrect date for a Poinsettia Tea at Davenport Church of Christ. The tea is from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6.
