• School zones — Lees Street, Lancaster Drive, 42A Avenue, Oleander Drive.
• Playground zones — Boyce Street, Northey Avenue, Holmes Street, McLean Street.
• Traffic corridors — 40th Avenue, 30th Avenue, 19th Street, 67th Street and Gaetz Avenue.
Kidney Walk a success
Red Deer and district’s third annual Give the Gift of Life Fun Run and Walk for the Kidney Foundation of Canada raised more than $53,000. About 150 people participated in the Canada-wide event held recently at Great Chief Park. The top fundraising team at the five-km run and two-km walk was Carter and Mason’s Crew, which brought in $12,000. Funds raised go towards increasing awareness about organ donation and to help ensure more Canadians receive life-saving transplants.
Olds golfers raise cash
The 17th annual Olds College Fall Golf Classic raised $40,263 to assist in the career goals of Olds College Bronco athletes. The 18-hole competition held recently attracted 144 participants, 70 student volunteers and 30 staff and alumni to support the Olds College Opportunities Fund. Olds College athletes compete in volleyball, basketball, futsal (indoors football) and curling. The classic was held at Olds Central Highlands Golf Course.
