Hwy 2 backed up after morning collisions near Red Deer

Two collisions less than a kilometre apart on Hwy 2 south of Red Deer

Traffic was backed up along Hwy 2 on Tuesday morning while two separate collisions were cleared.

One vehicle was caught up in the safety wire just south of Red Deer in the northbound lanes.

Less than a kilometre further south two other vehicles were involved in a collision.

Northbound traffic was diverted to a single lane and was backed up for a considerable distance.
