The driver and lone occupant of the truck exited the vehicle safely and suffered no injuries. The scene was secured and Hwy 899 was closed for the safety. The collision occurred 12 km north of Altario.

Consort RCMP and local fire departments responded to the single vehicle collision at 9:45 p.m.

Early Thursday afternoon, Hwy 899 remained closed from Hwy 12 to the Community of Bodo. The highway was expected to re-open later Thursday afternoon.
