The first ever Ice Cream Social at the Sunnybrook Farm Museum was a rousing success. Organizers initially felt that maybe about 20 to 30 people would show up, but that number was easily surpassed 30 minutes into the event. Volunteer servers, left to right, Margaret Day, Shirley Thomas and Elizabeth Plumtree, took everything in stride as they just kept serving the ice tea and ice cream, to what eventually would end up being over 200 people.
