511 Alberta reported that roads from Edmonton to Entwistle and Red Deer are covered in ice due to freezing ran this morning.
RCMP are responding to multiple motor vehicle collisions in the area Snow plows are sanding.
Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning at 6:30 a.m. which will impact areas east of Red Deer this morning.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
