Advocate reader Tammy Fipke, who lives east of Dovercourt Hall, south of Rocky Mountain House, got a chance for a few closeup shots of this great grey owl, and an opportunity to watch a pair of them hunt for about an hour at a time. This is the larger of the pair, a female that Fipke has been able to spot a number of times over the course of just over a week. This is one of many photos she was able to get of these magnificent birds.
