The Benalto and Area Rural Crime Watch Society’s annual general meeting will include a former police officer as guest speaker.
Retired Sylvan Lake RCMP Sgt. Duncan Babchuk was the liaison officer for the Benalto crime watch group from 2005 to 2011. His topic is Cops, Crops and Cuts.
Also attending will be RCMP crime watch liaisons Const. Carlos Da Silva, Cpl. James Allemekinders and Acting Staff Sgt. Jeff McBeth, as well as representatives from Red Deer and Lacombe counties.
The meeting is set for Oct. 27, 7 p.m. at the Benalto Leisure Centre.
