The first game of the spring season is only 30 days away, but with 110 cm (43 inches) of snow — and deeper in the middle of the field — he needs a lot warmer weather to get rid of it. Dean checks the snow level regularly as the weather improves and he is concerned because registration for Rimbey soccer has decreased in the last two years. The association has launched an all-out push to encourage more youngsters to play, noting that it is an inexpensive sport to play — providing the snow is gone.
