The 26th annual Innisfail Charity Checkstop will lend a huge hand to local charities in 2023.
In a press release, police say the event last weekend raised $15,735 in cash and cheques. It also helped collected three truckloads of quality toys and new clothing items for the Innisfail Christmas Bureau. Also, 542.2 pounds of food were donated for the Innisfail Food Bank.
The charitable organizations that these items will be donated to are the Innisfail Food Bank, the Innisfail Christmas Bureau, the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre and the Youth Positive Assets Coalition.
