Innisfail firefighters and Mounties face off in hockey charity game

Battle of the Badges charity hockey game takes place Jan. 6

Innisfail Mounties and firefighters will take to the ice in a charity hockey game next week.

Innisfail RCMP Detachment and the Innisfail Fire Department have joined forces for the 1st Annual “Battle of the Badges” charity hockey game.

The game will be held on Jan. 6 at the Innisfail Twin Arena. Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.

Admission to the game is free with a donation to the Innisfail Food Bank.

“The food bank has seen higher than normal demands of the holiday season and we are working to assist them in replenishing their supplies,” say charity hocky game organizers.

“Come on out and kick off the New Year by supporting this important cause and enjoy a competitive hockey game between some of your local emergency services personnel.”
