Innisfail RCMP Charity Checkstop raises nearly $9,000

Innisfail RCMP did their part to help families in need this Christmas at the 23rd annual Charity Checkstop.

Police collected $8,882.18, 75 high quality toys, 10 bags of gently used clothing and more than 800 pounds of food from the community at Saturday’s checkstop on 50th Street, between 48th Avenue and 49th Avenue.

Donated items will go to the Innisfail Food Bank, the Christmas Bureau and the Women’s Outreach Society.
