Innisfail RCMP investigating armed robbery at bar

Innisfail RCMP is asking the public to help identify two men involved in an armed robbery at a local bar Friday night.

Police were called to The Zoo bar at the Innisfail Hotel around 11:15 p.m., when the robbery was in progress.

RCMP say two men entered the bar with weapons and demanded money. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a silver Chrysler 300 toward Red Deer. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The first male suspect is described as skinny and five-foot-seven or five-foot-eight. He was wearing a black mask and a white and black hoodie.

The second male suspect is also described as skinny. He was wearing a mask and a jacket with a reflective stripe on the back at the time of the incident.

Police say both men could be 20-30 years old.

No further information about this incident will be provided at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
