A Rocky Mountain House man is facing charges after Innisfail RCMP located drugs during a traffic stop.

Police officers recently spotted a suspicious vehicle in the Cannon Park area while conducting targeted patrols in Innisfail.

RCMP observed a man reaching into the trunk of the vehicle. When police approached him, it was determined he was wanted on outstanding warrants and was arrested.

Police located cash, illegal drugs and weapons.

Kyle Ronald Vaughan, 34, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of Canadian currency under $5,000 obtained by crime, possesses weapons dangerous to public peace and possessing a stolen identity document.

He will appear in court Oct. 9 in Red Deer.
