Five stolen vehicles were recovered, and three people were charged, say Innisfail RCMP.

On Oct. 14, Innisfail RCMP enlisted the help of the police force’s crime reduction unit in an investigation into a property known for suspicious activity, according to several community complaints.

Police said people associated to the property were known to be repeat offenders, and one of them was known to be in breach of a probation order.

It was also determined they were driving a stolen vehicle and were in possession of another stolen vehicle. One vehicle was taken from Delburne and the other from Red Deer.

The vehicles were stopped and the drivers were arrested without incident, at which time police seized what was believed to be methamphetamine, along with bear spray, an imitation handgun and break and enter tools.

A search of the property, at South Pine Lake Road, led to the recovery of three more stolen vehicles, stolen licence plates and ammunition. A prohibited weapon was also seized.

At the time of the arrests, Bryce Edward Hagen, 31, was bound by a probation order in connection to an assault, and Jordan James Dempster, 24, was bound by two separate weapon prohibitions and was on probation in relation to assault and weapon convictions.

In total, 47 new Criminal Code charges were laid against Hagen, Dempster and Sara Joy Hollar, 30.

The three are scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court on Dec. 8.
