Two Innisfail teens are facing break and enter and arson charges in connection with a Monday incident at Innisfail School Campus.

In the early morning hours on Monday, an off-duty RCMP officer spotted fires at the school and a nearby skate park. The Innisfail fire department was called in and quickly put out both fires.

RCMP allege two suspects broke into the school and stole a large jug of hand sanitizer, which they used to start fires in a garbage can outside the school and a portable toilet at the skate park.

Police have arrested two youths, aged 15 and 16, and charged them each with two counts each of arson and one count of break and enter.

Both have been released from custody on conditions and are due in Red Deer Provincial Court on July 28.
