An Innisfail woman is facing multiple fraud charges following an investigation by Red Deer RCMP.

Police allege the suspect stole more than $54,000 from her employer between September 2015 and 2017.

The Red Deer RCMP Financial Crime Unit recently completed an investigation, and uncovered the fraud. It is alleged that the women, while serving as the executive director of a local professional association, misused the funds of the organization for personal use.

She has also been charged with the falsification of books or documents.
