Celtic Illusion, a new show that mixes Irish dance with illusions, is coming to Red Deer this week.

The 21-city tour will stop on April 10th at the Centrium.

Performers were recruited from around the globe for what’s being billed as “a theatrical masterpiece that will have you mesmerised from the moment the curtain is raised.”

The “spectacular” show has a stellar cast of champions, including lead dancer Anthony Street, the first Australian to perform leading roles in Michael Flatley’s widely-acclaimed Lord of the Dance. Georgia May, a dancer and illusionist is also featured, as well as other internationally-acclaimed dancers from Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.

With a “breathtaking” array of dance styles — traditional Irish Dance, influenced by Bob Fosse, Michael Jackson, and Broadway — Celtic Illusion “is a show like no other in the world,” say organizers.

Since its debut in 2011, the sell-out show has been performed in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and the U.S.

This re-imagined tour features new illusions and choreography, as well as an emotional, riveting musical score.

“Immerse yourself in one of the most unique productions… Celtic Illusion, the Irish dance and grand Illusion sensation that’s taken the world by storm will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a nation-wide tour of Australia in 2021.”
