Ponoka RCMP have laid mischief charges after items and equipment were damaged at the 7-Eleven store in Ponoka on Feb. 9.

RCMP said a complaint came in at about 11:37 p.m. about two females destroying property inside the store. Damage led to gas pumps malfunctioning and an overall disruption in operations.

The suspects fled the store.

Police said the two suspects were located and arrested at an apartment after police were alerted to their location by another complaint that came in at 11:52 p.m.

Taylor Alyssa Threefingers, 23, and a youth who cannot be named, were each charged with mischief.

At the time of her arrest, Threefingers had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to comply with a probation order. Threefingers faces charges of failing to comply with a probation order and uttering threats.

The youth was released on conditions, and Threefingers was released and scheduled to attend court in Ponoka on March 5.
