JoAnne Hayden is the new executive director of the Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre.
The agency provides services for more than 500 children with complex and severe special needs.
Hayden has spent most of her life in central Alberta and has been with Aspire for the past 17 years.
“I am looking forward to the challenges of this position. I know with the support of the Aspire board, staff and community, we will continue the amazing work that Aspire is doing for children and families in central Alberta,” said Hayden, who begins her new positon May 1.
“We are excited to have someone progress through the organization to this level, bringing not only her strengths and talents, but her love for Aspire and her willingness to support the mission and the culture,” said Robin Armitage, chair of the group’s board of directors.
