Natalie Craft, left, produce manager at Sobeys’ north hill store and Deb Swainson with Southside Chrysler are both experiencing what kennel-life is like at the Red Deer & District SPCA shelter. Both were ‘victims’ of the first ever Catch, Fetch & Release fundraiser, which meant that they were not to be released until they had enough friends show up with enough money to guarantee their freedom. The one-day event involving close to 20 inmates raised just under $20,000.
