Lacombe man charged with dangerous driving after collision near Sylvan Lake

A 23-year-old Lacombe man has been charged with dangerous driving in connection with an April 22 collision near Sylvan Lake.

Sylvan Lake RCMP said they were called to a collision at Highway 11 and Range Road 20, just southwest of the town about 10:20 p.m.

Police allege that a Ford F-150 pickup drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a Jeep Wrangler carrying four people.

The pickup driver had minor injuries. The four occupants in the Jeep were taken to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm and obstruction.

He was released on bail conditions and is due in Red Deer provincial court on May 20.
