Lacombe police arrest two home invasion suspects

Man and woman arrested in connection with Feb. 4 home invasion

Lacombe Police Service have arrested two people wanted in connection with a home invasion earlier this month.

Police said they got a report on Feb. 6 that a vehicle had been stolen from the Parkland Acres trailer park in Lacombe.

During the course of this investigation, it was determined that the vehicle had been stolen on Feb. 4 during a home invasion and robbery.

“In this incident the victim and the two accused are known to one another so police want to let the community know that there is no ongoing risk to public safety,” said police.

A 22-year-old Alder Flats man has been charged with one count each of being unlawfully in a dwelling, robbery, vehicle theft, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats.

A 26-year-old Alder Flats woman has been charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling, robbery, vehicle theft and uttering threats.

Both remain in custody and are due in court on March 6.
