Lacombe Police made arrests after locating a reportedly stolen vehicle.

On Tuesday, Lacombe Police was notified of a stolen vehicle that was seen around 63 Street. The vehicle was involved in an assault with a weapon complaint in the Calgary area.

When police arrived to the 63 Street area, officers spotted the vehicle at a gas station being filled with fuel.

Police vehicles were used to block the suspect vehicle from leaving the location.

“The suspect vehicle reversed, striking an LPS police cruiser causing significant damage to the front end,” Lacombe Police said in a press release Wednesday.

“A passenger from the suspect vehicle was outside of the vehicle at the time and was apprehended by police. No police officers or civilians were injured during the collision.”

The driver fled the scene, but was caught by police shortly after.

The investigation is still ongoing.
