Tory Wilson of Appollo Landsdcaping tamps a gate post into newly poured concrete along Lakeshore Drive in Sylvan Lake Monday. The gate will keep cars and trucks, though not emergency vehicles, from driving into the road’s closed portion between Sylvan Lake Provincial Park and Centennial Park. The closure, part of the municipality’s realignment of the busy road, is now permanent and removal of pavement is slated for next spring.
