Lane closures, detours in place at 67 Street/30 Avenue roundabout in Red Deer starting May 28

The City of Red Deer is warning drivers about upcoming lane closures and detours at the 67th Street and 30th Avenue roundabout.

Starting May 28, crews will reinstall a sanitary pipe as part of warranty repairs related to the previously installed underground infrastructure.

The dedicated turning lane from eastbound 67th Street to southbound 30th Avenue will be closed. Drivers can continue to turn south through the roundabout.

When exiting the roundabout on westbound 67th Street, two lanes will merge into one. This lane will then detour around a work site on the median.

The pedestrian trail on the south side of 67th Street will close and pedestrians will be detoured to the north side of the street.

Lane closures are expected to last up to three months.
