Large tree branches can be taken to Red Deer snow storage area

City has opened area up to help with storm cleanup

As a result of the wind storm, the City of Red Deer has opened up a snow storage facility for the public to drop off large tree branches.

The north snow storage facility at 6859 Edgar Industrial Drive is open to collect large branches that have fallen on residential properties. Drop off is free and the facility is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Garbage, sod, or other yard waste material will not be accepted at this site.

Residents are responsible for cleaning up trees on their property and the city is encouraging people to contact a certified arborist. To report property damage, people should contact their insurance provider.
