A woman has been killed in a two-vehicle crash in northwestern Alberta.

GRANDE PRAIRIE — A woman has been killed in a two-vehicle crash in northwestern Alberta.

RCMP say a sport utility vehicle and a tanker truck collided early Tuesday night on Highway 40, near Grande Prairie.

The woman, who was the lone occupant of the SUV, died at the scene.

Her name has not been released.

The truck driver was not hurt.

Police are still looking into the cause of the crash.
