NAMPA — A little girl has died after being ejected from a pickup truck in a two-vehicle collision on the Queen Elizabeth II Highway near Nampa.
RCMP say a 34-year-old woman and three other girls under the age of seven have been taken to hospital.
The woman is in serious condition but the other children do not have life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the semi was not hurt.
Mounties say the pickup was travelling west on a township road and appears to have failed to stop at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with a loaded northbound semi tractor-trailer unit hauling canola.
There was fog in the area at the time.
