A long-time Red Deer realtor is returning to helm the Central Alberta Realtors Association (CARA) in 2024.
Allan Melbourne, an associate with RE/MAX Real Estate Central Alberta and realtor since 2008, has served on the CARA board since 2017, including a stint as president in 2020.
Melbourne, who was a Red Deer Advocate manager for many years, before going into real estate is an active member of Rotary Club of Red Deer East and a supporter of numerous local charities and organizations, including The Lending Cupboard and Red Deer Food Bank.
He is also the owner and editor of golf magazine On the Links, which is distributed during the summer months at more than 100 locations. He is a member of the Golf Writers Association of America and Golf Travel Writers of America.
He has been married to wife Marilyn for 47 years and has two grown sons.
CARA is a Multiple Listing Service co-operative representing more than 550 central Alberta realtors.
