Plaques honouring the contributions of Betty Speirs and Dennis Wighton are among the features of the new Palaeocene Epoch display at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. The display details the Red Deer River valley’s early history about 55 million years ago, in particular that of early mammals found in fossil beds around the Red Deer and Blackfalds areas.
