Red Deer RCMP arrested a wanted suspect for stolen property and drug offences.

At about 4:46 p.m. Friday, a Red Deer RCMP officer was conducting patrols in Lower Fairview when he observed a suspicious vehicle.

The officer did checks on the vehicle licence plate and determined that the licence plate was stolen.

The Red Deer Crime Reduction Team (CRT) monitored the vehicle and an investigation determined the vehicle was stolen in Red Deer.

A male of no fixed address was arrested on outstanding warrants and is facing multiple additional charges, including possession of a methamphetamine, stolen property, and a weapon, misuse of a credit card, illegal possession of government documents and other charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
