Man and child found dead after house fire in Manitoba early Saturday

NORWAY HOUSE, Man. — Police say a man and a child have died after a house fire in Norway House, Man., early Saturday morning.

RCMP officials say the house was fully engulfed in flames when officers arrived on the scene.

They say several people made it out of the house alive, but a five-year-old child and a 45-year-old man were unaccounted for.

Officers say firefighters found two bodies inside after they extinguished the blaze.

They say autopsies have been scheduled for the bodies.

The Office of the Fire Commissioner and the RCMP are both investigating.
