On April 12 the Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Team, with the assistance of the RCMP Auto Theft Unit, Grand Prairie Crime Reduction Unit and Sylvan Lake RCMP, were able to locate a stolen pickup truck driven by a suspect near Banff.

A 33-year-old man, of no fixed address, and a 22-year-old woman, of Stettler, were arrested at a Sylvan Lake motel later in the day after an illegal transaction regarding the sale of a stolen pickup truck.

Police also seized an undisclosed amount of cash and methamphetamine.

The two are facing multiple charges, including trafficking property obtained by crime, fraudulent concealment and possession of a controlled substance.

Both will appear in Red Deer Provincial Court April 23.
